After a long flight with bags, children, and the thrill of Disneyland Paris, the last thing you want to do is work out the transportation on the spot. CDG Disneyland Paris is about 40 kilometres away and takes about 35 minutes to get there. Let’s be honest about each of the options so you can make a choice based on what works for you.
Private Transfer — The Best Option for Families and Groups
Private transfer is the most convenient option for the majority of visitors to Disneyland Paris. Your driver picks you up in arrivals, assists you with your suitcases, and transfers you straight to the Disney hotel or the park entrance without any stops or changes. Fixed price ahead of travel, and child seats provided.
Under normal traffic conditions, it would take approximately 35 to 40 minutes to arrive at the destination. The price of €85 per family of 4 (or €21.25 per person) is about the same as other options and is more comfortable and convenient.
A private transfer from Paris to Disneyland Paris is the most sensible choice when travelling with kids, heavy bags, and when you just don’t feel like dealing with public transport after a long journey.
RER Train — Cheapest but Not Always Practical
The RER is the most affordable way to get from CDG to Disneyland Paris and takes around 50 to 60 minutes. From the airport, you go by RER B to Châtelet–Les Halles in central Paris and then by RER A to Marne-la-Vallée/Chessy (just past Disneyland Paris).
The price of the ticket is approximately €20 for adults. It’s a good choice for solo travelers or a couple who want to travel light. Pushchairs, multiple suitcases, and families with little ones make it much harder. The RER A is especially crowded during rush hour, and two train changes with luggage, for an entire family, is definitely exhausting.
It’s good to know that Marne-la-Vallée/Chessy station is right at the entrance of the Disney parks: at least once you are on the RER A, the last walk is short (about 10 minutes).
Taxi — Available but Unpredictable
The standard Paris taxis are metered, meaning the charge depends on traffic. The journey from CDG to Disneyland will cost between €80 and €120, depending on the time of day and the conditions on the road. You will not know the price before you go; taxi rank queues can be long at busy times, and if you are travelling with a large group, two taxis might be required.
While taxis are acceptable in emergencies, a pre-booked private transfer is more reliable not only in terms of pricing, but also in terms of the service as well.
Shared Shuttle — Slow and Inconvenient
Shared shuttles pick up from several terminals and deliver to several hotels before arriving at your hotel. The good news is that they are lower in cost than private transfers. The problem is that typically it takes a lot longer than two hours, depending on how many stops are made and what the loading time is at each stop.
It’s not nice to sit in a minibus after a flight and take 6 stops at hotels, with tired kids. Once most families have tried it, they do not return to book it again.
What Most Families Choose
The truth is that the private transfers from Paris are a good choice to consider.
The RER is fine if you’re traveling light (no kids) and you’re pressed for cash. If you are travelling as a family or group, want to be transported door to door, and prefer a relaxed holiday, then a private transfer is for you.
Paris Disneyland Transfer offers transfers from Paris to Disneyland Paris for €80 for a family of 3 with fixed prices, meet and greet, and free child seats. 7 days a week, 24 hours a day.
